Carolyn Roy and Lizzie Le Quesne have shared interests in somatic practice as performance: courage, openness and positing the sentient body as perceiver. Both heartbroken by the prospect of Brexit Reeling was their response to the impending separation – performed at the Anthony Wilkinson Gallery as part of No Fun Without EU, Reeling is a quiet, intense, cyclical dance – of waiting, impulse, attention, change, communion, fracturing, shifting, individual and joint, inward, response, being with a radical use of somatic sensitivity.
